Grilled Fruit Kabobs with Cinnamon Honey Glaze

Updated: Aug 11, 2021

This summer, add grilled fruits to your BBQ repertoire 🔥. Try this easy recipe for a sweet and healthy dessert that will be a hit with the entire family !

Tips for making grilled fruit kabobs:

  • If you’re using wooden or bamboo skewers, check for splinters on the skewers and remove them.

  • To avoid burning the wooden or bamboo skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 20 minutes. This keeps them moist and typically reduces the chance of them burning on the grill.

  • Large chunks of fruit work best for grilling. Just be sure to secure them well so they don’t fall through the grill grates.

  • Before grilling, make sure the cooking grates are clean. You don’t want your fruit to taste like steak.

(1/2 cup for each to fit 6 skewers)

Pineapple🍍 | Watermelon🍉 | Peaches🍑 | Strawberries🍓 | Apples🍏 | Bananas🍌 | Kiwi🥝 | Pears🍐

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  1. Combine the honey, lemon juice and cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir until combined. Microwave for 5 to 10 seconds if the honey is too thick. Set aside.

  2. Preheat the grill to medium-low heat.

  3. Chop the fruit into about 2-inch pieces. Then thread the fruit through your skewers. Transfer onto a baking sheet.

  4. Place the kabobs on the grill and cook each side for about 2 to 4 minutes, or until grill marks have started to form. Be careful not to burn the fruit. Then drizzle the glaze on top.
